Tena'Adam, Latin Ruta chalepenesis, is a shrubby, aromatic plant that is grown in the highlands of Ethiopia. Literally translated her name means "Health of Adam".

The leaves are used to flavor sour milk, cheese and coffee, while the fruits are used as a spice ingredient by Berbere and Shiro. The oil is also used in traditional Ethiopian medicine, in various regions the Tena'Adam oil is also used as a perfume by women.

The Ethiopians use the plant to treat snake bites, headaches, diarrhea, earache and other things, but the medicinal effects have not been scientifically investigated or proven.
